GOP VP Candidate To Visit Dover, Salem

SALEM, N.H. -- The school superintendent in Salem, N.H., said more than 5,000 people are expected to attend a rally featuring GOP vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin this week.

The Alaska governor, whose husband was in New Hampshire and Maine over the weekend, will spend Wednesday campaigning in New Hampshire, where John McCain had his first primary victory but now lags behind Democrat Barack Obama in the polls.

After a morning rally in Dover, Palin is heading to Salem High School, where Superintendent Michael Delahunty said he expects a crowd of between 5,000 and 8,000 people for an early evening event.

Delahunty said the only comparable event the school has seen is a regional marching band competition that draws about 4,500 people.
