GOLDEN (MyFOXColorado.com) - Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin told a crowd of about 5,000 people at a rally in Golden, Colorado Monday morning she wants to go to Washington to, "Shake things up."

Palin started her remarks talking about unease on Wall Street caused by the bankruptcy at investment bank Lehman Brothers.

Palin called the Lehman bankruptcy a crisis and the Governor of Alaska says the nation's financial regulatory system needs a, "Complete overhaul."

She also praised Republican presidential nominee John McCain and talked about increasing domestic drilling for oil.

Gov. Palin spoke at the Jefferson County Fairgrounds in Golden.

Democratic nominee Barack Obama was also in Colorado Monday. He was scheduled to speak in Grand Junction at midday, and then he was going to appear at an event at the State Fairgrounds in Pueblo later Monday afternoon.

Sarah Palin to Stop in Colorado Springs, Loveland

DENVER - Republican vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin is bringing her campaign back to Colorado Springs on Monday and then heading to Loveland.

Palin is holding a "Road to Victory" rally at 8:00 a.m. at Security Service Field, home of the Colorado Springs Sky Sox baseball team. She is scheduled to appear at the Budweiser Events Center in Loveland at noon.

Sen. John McCain spokesman Tom Kise says Palin will appear later in the afternoon in Grand Junction.

Alaska's governor has been a frequent visitor to Colorado since becoming John McCain's running mate. Earlier this month, she attended a fundraiser in Englewood, where she accused Democrat Barack Obama of "palling around" with terrorists. And she and McCain appeared together in Colorado Springs on Sept. 6.

Palin's visit Monday coincides with the opening of early voting at selected locations across Colorado.

GREELEY, Colo. - Republican presidential nominee Sarah Palin will campaign across Colorado on Monday, when early voting begins in this crucial swing-state.

Palin has at least three stops planned Monday, but the Greeley Tribune reports that details beyond that haven't been announced.
