King Obama : refusal to produce birth certificate

King Obama

[To Joseph Farah:] I enjoyed reading your article about BHO and his refusal to produce a birth certificate.

To quote you:

There are only three plausible explanations, I have been able to come up with, as to why Barack Obama steadfastly refuses to produce the portion of his alleged Hawaiian birth certificate that actually shows where he was born and when:

You asked if anyone could provide another reason. I think I can:

Audacity: He has been protected his entire life and has not had to ever answer to anyone. As can be demonstrated by how he got away from all the attacks concerning his associations with terrorists and his support of killing babies that survived abortions. He simply cried racism or dismissed them and let his press buddies cover up for him. Now he is trying to play games with the Constitution, and if he pulls this one off, then one day in our lifetime, we will hear him brag about how he got away with the not being eligible to run for POTUS but that no one dared challenge the great Obama!

He reminds me of one of those rulers in the Old Testament that got on the wrong side of God and dared to challenge HIM. Maybe someday he will literally be eating grass just like King Nebuchadnezzar.

Obama's above 'real America'

[To Joseph Farah:] I enjoyed your article about how Obama's failure to produce a birth certificate is at odds with how most of America operates. I've done a little Internet research of my own on this topic.

A birth certificate is required to do the following in the USA (many require "certified" copies of the certificate).

* Eligibility for a child to play in a soccer tournament or in a youth sports league
* Registration into the Maxxis National (4-cycle Karting) Championship race
* Enrollment in public school, including Head Start
* Application for a driver's license
* Admission to public institutions of higher education (universities)
* Marriage license (if under 21)
* Lifetime fish and wildlife license application
* Harvard Athletic Association – Baseball/Softball Registration (for Minors and Majors)
* Annual golf playing permit
* Eligibility for health insurance to cover dependent children
* Eligibility for children of students to live in campus housing with parents
* Application for accidental death benefits, state board of retirement (surviving spouse's birth certificate)
* Employment requirements for police department

However, it seems, a birth certificate is NOT required:

* to be listed as a candidate for and to be elected as the president of the United States.

Officials at a kids' soccer tournament need a certified birth certificate as verified proof of a player's age, but it seems the courts and the Congress are willing just to take information at a candidate's word. Seems to defy logic!

Real people in "real America" can't play in a soccer tournament, get health insurance, apply for a driver's license, or even get rights to play golf (on at least one course) without first showing their birth certificate, but politicians seem to be above all that is required of "real people." The Obama campaign even says it's "garbage" that people are filing suits demanding a look at Obama's certified birth certificate.

Well, for those of us living in everyday America, it's not "garbage"; it's just "real life."

The bigger question, of course, is: "Why won't Obama release his certified birth certificate showing the place of birth and the attending doctor?" It's been fairly well proven the short version posted on the Internet for several months is not a legal copy of Obama's birth certificate, and it's totally apparent that the certificate that was posted is a shortened version of what a Hawaiian birth document actually looks like. As you note, for someone who says he believes in transparency in government, sure seems Obama wants to keep this document away from public view.

Thanks for writing about it.

Mary

Turn the tables

The eHarmony situation could be turned around on the gay/lesbian whiners. I say eHarmony should go ahead and allow the gay and lesbian people to use the website but take all the profits from that side of the site and donate them to groups that help gays and lesbians leave that lifestyle for heterosexuality.

Dustin P.

Wackos are dropping like flies

YAY! One more institution in this country who has said to the religious right: GET LOST, YOU WACKOS ["eHarmony.com to match 'gays'"].

For how many years have I been writing to you, little by little, one wacko at a time, one religious fanatic at a time, one day all across this land full equal and civil rights for gays will be fully recognized in this country, and thus this country will catch up to the rest of the civilized world and stop listening to the religious fanatics and their irrational religious dogmas, that in most other modern democracies havelong been dumped – for REASON.

I smell a conspiracy

It is of interest that even though Sen. McCain was recognized as a citizen by the current laws of the United States and there was no legal reason to hold a court to articulate the clear definition of his citizenship, a Senate bill (S. Res. 511) was introduced on April 10, 2008, by several senators: "Mr. LEAHY, Mr. OBAMA, Mr. COBURN, Mrs. CLINTON and Mr. WEBB."

This written and passed bill was introduced with a clear introduction of an "intent" to extend the meaning of the Constitution without legal precidence.

This basically laid a presumption of merit toward any politician seeking office who may have a "natural born citizen" argument.

Is this why McCain was "chosen" to sit in the Republican primary seat during a time when the clear majority of conservative Republicans was clearly not supporting John McCain for his non-conservative positions?

Was he a staged candidate because of his "conditional" status as a foreign-born natural citizen?

His electability was clear and non-contested prior to this S. Res. 511 obfuscation.

Was Obama's support and co-authorship of this bill, for someone he was battling in the primaries for the presidency, a strategy to redefine his "citizenship" after the elections to keep him constitutionally "in play" as president, even after he finally shows his Official Vault Birth Certificate after the dust settles?

If this is the case ? Is this a conspiracy? … Naaaaaww.

Too bad GM's not a foreign country

We don't have to raise a dime of taxes to give money to GM. Simply cut off all foreign aid and give that to GM instead.

Cut off all the money we give to the U.N. and give that to GM.

Cut off all the aid money we give to communist China and give that to GM. Let the EU build their own armies and missile defenses and give that money to GM instead.

No more foreign aid to anyone or any country – not a penny!

Seven billion to Africa to fight AIDS? And we aren't going to give GM a dime?

Realistically, the politicians are going to blow that money to try to look like they are doing something, and it is better for America to go bankrupt giving the money to Americans rather than foreign countries.

Cut off all foreign aid! We need to aid our own people first.

The socialism road

Walter Williams makes very good points ["Why socialism is evil"]. Sadly, the United States has been such a country for several decades. Don't believe me? Have you ever heard of Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid? All are income-redistribution programs. The same people who whine about Obama socializing health care or other such programs would scream bloody murder if the "big 3" programs I listed earlier were phased out.

American has been marching down the socialism road for some time, and the march will likely continue under Obama. The question is how much, and for how long, until the general public wakes up.

Create-your-own god

I was reading the letters to the editor and came across one from Jennifer, who claimed she is a Christian and an elder of her church [Nov. 13]. Her god is one of love and compassion. Jennifer, you have created a god you are more comfortable with, a god who loves everybody – in fact, you have made an idol.

The god you worship is a figment of you imagination. The God of the Bible is not some grey-headed grandpa in a rocking chair in heaven who loves everyone no matter what they do. Sin is punished and sinners are punished if they die without Christ. This punishment is in the Lake of Fire. (Revelation 20:15).

Read your Bible. Find out for yourself.

No GM bailout!

Dear Pat Buchanan:

You are wrong, wrong, wrong. Just because Congress has already wrongfully bailed out the banks, New York, D.C., Mexico, et al. DOES NOT make it right or good to repeat the mistakes of the past!

I'm angry. Not only am I angry – I'm mad. I pay taxes. My home is not mortgaged. I, being very stupid, did not go out and get a home equity loan in 2004 when Mr. (god) Greenspan told everyone that "smart" people should all get equity loans to buy your dream vacation or whatever your heart desires.

And now you have the audacity to suggest that I, a taxpayer, am responsible to pay to keep GM in business? Exactly where in the Constitution is the U.S. government given the authority to take my money, the food out of my children's mouths, to "bail out" a failing, dying dinosaur called GM? It doesn't!

I used to be a Republican. The party has left me and my values. I voted in this election, as always, but not for either Obama or McCain.

When is it going to register that the government does not have any money? All these "bailouts" are robbing Peter to pay Paul, and they are preordained to fail. Unless this changes, there will be no economic future for America. Period.

The only possible good economic future must be based on hard work and productivity, producing something that someone else needs. Handouts have never made a pauper into a prince. Were it so, they could just fire up the presses and we could all be billionaires. Only then you wouldn't be able to buy a loaf of bread with your billions.

What does it profit a man to gain the whole world and lose his own soul? I fear we have sold our soul for a mess of pottage.

Mark

Did Obama touch 1st base?

Even the left-wing liberal news media is beginning to ask the question: "Who is this man we have elected? We really do not know much about him." Did emotions blind reason by overwhelming desire to elect a black president regardless of his qualifications? I am proud of America for desiring a black president. I am proud of America for the peaceful changing of the guard. But, only now are questions being asked that should have been asked all along. Is he even qualified to be his own bodyguard?

Rules must be followed. Take the game of baseball. The batter hits the ball hard out into the field. He runs to first base while the ball strikes the top of the fence and falls to the ground just inside the park. The ball is fumbled, retrieved and thrown to third base too late. The ball is fumbled again then hurled toward home plate. Before the ball can make it to home plate, the new star of baseball slides in for a home run. The crowd goes into wild cheers of celebration as everyone declares, "IT'S A HOME RUN!" That is, everyone but the first baseman. Above the jubilant, giddy squeals of the crowd, he shouts to the first base umpire, "He never touched first!" The first baseman yells to the pitcher, "Throw me the ball!" The pitcher, almost casually, throws the ball to first base. The umpire must, by rules of the game, declare, "He's out."

All the crowd witnessed a home run, but the umpire, hemmed in by truth, knew the video cameras had recorded fact: The runner had not touched first base.

The Constitution of the United States of America is clear, crystal clear: First base for president of the United States of America is to be a natural born citizen. If the cameras prove without question that Obama touched first base, it is a home run. If he did not touch first base, he is out. Let us review the evidence with an open mind just to make sure home plate is not stolen. Obama, show us your birth certificate!

Toddler tantrum

Chuck Norris had this to say: "I see a lot of sore losers who are intolerant of any outcome but the one they desire. Some are acting like toddlers who throw a temper tantrum until they get their way. Are they fighting for their rights or at last showing true colors of intolerance against anyone who believes contrary to them?"

Was that his description of WorldNetDaily since Nov. 5?

No more women at State

Why the continued foolishness of placing women in the position of secretary of state?

First, we were presented with Madeleine Albright, presently we have Condoleezza Rice, and now we are being given Hillary Rodham Clinton. Two of these three are very bright; one even ostensibly lives by her convictions (and we can only hope that someday the other two will have convictions of their own). I have nothing against women, and arguably some of the men who have served in this position have done our country little real good.

We must come to appreciate that the most important role of State at present is to "negotiate" with the leaders of Islamo-fascist and other totalitarian regimes. These men have NO respect for women, and sending one (however articulate or talented) to negotiate with them can only irritate and infuriate them. It will never change their minds about the status of women in their cultures, and it will only contribute to their impression of the USA as stupid, effeminate and weak.

The president-elect should select as our secretary of state someone who clearly represents the strength of our great country, not someone to whom is owed political favor. Choosing a woman may seem to modern Americans like a bold, 21st-century choice, but we must remember that we are dealing with tyrants who are committed to keeping their people imprisoned 1,400 years in the past.

Shrewd Henry Paulson

The story goes that a certain manager was about to get fired for doing a lousy job. So, being the shrewd guy that he was, he created a golden parachute for himself by settling up all of his bosses outstanding accounts for a mere fraction of their actual amounts.

In this way, the shrewd manager was certain to have a whole bunch of "friends" to call upon for a "favor" or even a job after the ax fell and he was officially terminated.

So, if the recent multi-billion dollar bailout of the financial markets initiated by Secretary of Treasury Henry M. Paulson Jr. seems strikingly similar to The Parable of the Shrewd Manager found in Luke 16:1-13, it is probably ...

because it is!

It'll be fun to see where good ol' Henry is employed on or soon after Inauguration Day 2009.

An invalid president?

Mr. Farah, your editorial "Where's the birth certificate?" was a real gem. It said very emphatically everything it needed to say, and I hope your colleagues will rise to your challenge and wholeheartedly support your efforts to get Mr. Obama to release his birth certificate. I have not found another website anywhere that has been willing to pursue this issue with the determination demonstrated by WND. You and yours are some very fine newshounds!

As you suggest in your commentary, nothing is more important than faithfully observing the requirements of the United States Constitution. It seems to me that, if the American people allow an unqualified man to assume the presidency of these United States, any act he undertakes in that office is ultimately likely to be invalidated – whether it be an executive order, an international treaty or a bill passed by Congress. Why would anyone who truly loves this country be willing to risk such a possibility? Such an outcome would completely undermine the public's faith in the federal government – something far worse than any temporary disruption that might result if Mr. Obama had to abruptly withdraw his name from consideration for the presidency.

Thank you for your determination, and may God bless you and keep you safe as you continue to seek meaningful responses to your questions.

Robert A. Goetz

Farah the comedian

[To Joseph Farah:] After a tough Monday, I found your article "Where's the birth certificate?" very entertaining! I haven't laughed so hard about anything since the last time I opened my 401(k) statement. The part where you actually suggested that Obama – I think President-elect Obama sounds more appropriate. You should try using it from time to time. Just kind of rolls off the tongue. Anyway, the part where you suggested President-elect Obama should actually answer the lawsuits filed by delusional citizens damn near made me fall out of my chair laughing.

I wonder if you have the same passion in wondering why George Bush refuses to answer the "garbage" lawsuits (you know, like the little domestic spying lawsuit or two)? Well, keep up the great comedy routine, and if you decide to take your act on the road, I hope you play a comedy club in my area.

I don't mean to seem mean-spirited. I mean "delusional citizen" in the kindest way. I mean, if the citizens are able to file a lawsuit, I would hope they can go online and view the birth certificate they are demanding to see. I get the feeling that even if they can see it, feel it, taste it – they won't accept it.

David Washington

What a feat!

Since Obama is so much into birth control, why doesn't he control his own birth? Oh, he is. He refuses to prove to us that he was actually born. At this point, he is the only human to be born in three hospitals at the same time, and his mother is the only woman capable of being in three places at the same time.

The Bilderberg clause

Gov. Palin will not be allowed to lead the party in 2012, unless she agrees to take orders from the Bilderberg group. And I doubt she will be willing to do so.

Joe Miller

Where's the 'conservative' masculinity

The latest WND poll has Mrs. Palin as the front-runner for a 2012 Republican candidacy. There is an element of inescapable truth behind such a poll that few recognize and fewer will admit to. The truth is that the "conservative" movement has lost its masculinity – and the leadership qualities that abide with masculinity.

This commentary is not intended as a slap to Mrs. Palin; it is intended for traditionally minded conservatives (not misogynists) to take a good look at one of, if not the reason, your party is in shambles.

Sarah Palin was known, but not that well-known until McCain selected her as his running mate. And make no mistake about it – his selection centered on her as a photogenic, congenial female, in the hope to checkmate his Democratic counterpart in the political-chess arena of gender politics.

The result? Do we need to go there?

And to see the rock star-like fawning that people displayed over this woman – especially the men – it shows a supreme lack of rational, analytical thought. Moreover, it shows the result of years of feminization, window-dressed by gender-oriented, faux "conservatism."

I will lay you dollars to doughnuts that had one asked any of the men who were gaga over Mrs. Palin what specifically she had planned for reducing the size and scope of government and for bringing more liberty and constitutional principle to the fore, they would have given you a blank stare.

Folks, it's time to wake up and grow up and out of mainstream political two-party thought. The Republican Party, for all intents and purposes, is finished. Even one of your other heroes, Jindal, is speaking of what the government needs to do for the people with regard to health care and other areas where government has no station. Until you are ready and willing to face the searing, piercing truth of policy and consider what the likes of a Ron Paul or Chuck Baldwin have to offer, you are not ready to play in the "conservative" stadium – and you are certainly not ready for freedom and liberty as prescribed in our founding documents.

Obama: An ineligible president

Why are our esteemed elected officials doing nothing about Obama's birth apparent lack of eligibility to be president? If Obama has nothing to hide, why is he defying orders to show his documents? He should be ashamed of the way he is behaving. His actions make us ever more suspicious that he is hiding something that he would be very unhappy about if we were to find out what it is.

Tens of thousands of people have signed petitions; lawsuits have been filed in state after state, but there is silence from most of the media.

Our glorious leaders from both parties, as well as the electors from the Electoral College ignore the plight of the American citizens who want to force Obama to obey the Constitution and provide all necessary documentation to prove he is eligible, or not, to hold office. We need action today. It is already late in the game. Let's act before it is too late.

Voting for the man, not color

There is little doubt that many people, especially blacks, feel the election of Barack Obama has wiped away decades of prejudice and discrimination.

As a Jew I can empathize with being similarly mistreated, albeit without the obvious pigmentation element.

While part of me is happy to see our country make a choice reflecting our disdain for prejudice, one can't help but wonder how free of prejudice we actually are. For example, more than 90 percent of blacks voted for Obama. Is this because they felt he was the best person for the job, or because of his skin color?

As a Jew, should I vote for a candidate because he or she is a Jew? Doing so reflects human failings – and prejudice. In reality, we should vote for the person most qualified, period.

In G-d's eyes we are not judged by the color of our skin, because our skin has no color in His eyes. G-d judges us by the color of our hearts.

In the words of Martin Luther King: "I have a dream that my four children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character."

When we as a society understand this in a current context, and vote accordingly, we can then say we are free of prejudice.

Deep, cavernous liberal minds

Kudos to the good doctor.

To call this man, Dr. Lyle Rossiter, author of "The Liberal Mind" (a good read by the way), an amazing individual would most certainly be an understatement for there are no words in the English language deserving enough to describe this man's incredible talent.

The good doctor, through his dedicated efforts, has accomplished what the laws of physics states a virtual impossibility. He's somehow managed to peer behind the skulls concrete-lined fortifications and into the dark and empty void of the liberal mind.

I'm sure he found little more than echoes from the abyss, but still his ability to penetrate the impenetrable is truly an astounding feat – to say the least!

Congratulations are certainly in order!

Craig

Blinded by color

What everybody needs to do is stop seeing Obama as a black man, and just see him as just a man trying to do the right thing for this country. Blacks and whites alike need to stop seeing color and start seeing character.

Obama can't do any worse, and he just might do better. The problem is you just can't stand the idea of taking orders from a black man. Well, this man is neither black nor white. He has a black daddy and a white mother, so he can't be for one side or the other. He can be straight up and down the middle, so why don't you all just give the man a chance and stop digging up all those lies?

How can we win wars abroad if we don't stop fighting at home? Let's all kneel down and pray.

Rev. Rose

Man without a brain – or heart

I find George Bush to be an amazing man. He functions, at least at a basic level, despite the fact that his entire presidency proves he has no brains. And his refusal to pardon Ignacio Ramos and Jose Compean proves he has no heart.

Obama: A blessing in disguise

Dear Mr. Farah,

You may not remember, but a few months ago I e-mailed you to suggest you'd turn at the last minute and suggest we all vote for McCain simply because Obama is such an abomination. I have to admit I was wrong, and I'm glad I was wrong. Thanks for sticking to your guns. I kept reminding myself that no matter how much I dreaded an Obama administration, McCain was never anything more than the least acceptable of a very mediocre bunch of Republican candidates. He was dead wrong on every major bill he ever sponsored. Choosing between McCain and Obama, it seemed to me, was like asking, "Do you want to go over the cliff at 50 miles per hour or 70 miles per hour?" I don't want to do either, but at least at this point, whatever happens, you won't be able to blame conservative Republicans.

As the campaign continued, I began to be aware that the great danger was that Christians praying for a McCain victory might actually think they'd won something if he was elected. And if they thought they'd won, they'd stop praying. In fact, there will be no lasting victory or turnaround in America without revival, a true, heaven-sent revival. So, the election of Obama is a blessing in disguise because many people are now praying more than ever. At least I hope they are.

Please keep fighting the good fight. The fight for freedom and liberty is just beginning, and maybe will require some of our blood in the near future.

Pastor Shafer Parker

WND's intolerant garbage

For a while now, I have looked at WND online every day just to see what inane, stupid, moronic, laughably ridiculous, far right-wing, intolerant garbage there is that you claim to be "news." I must say, I have never been disappointed yet. You people should be ashamed of the outright lies you propagate, but you have no shame – just an agenda that makes you feel like you are better than people who have different beliefs and opinions than you people do when in fact you are an example of the worst among us.

This election has given me my faith back in the American people that the majority of them see that people like you are nothing more than an irrelevant footnote soon to hopefully be relegated to the trash bin of history.

Yes, Paul's words are 'authentic'

Bill Press is using the same tired arguments as always in his quest for pro-gay theology:

"And aside from several comments attributed to St. Paul (and of questionable authenticity), there is no mention of gays or gay marriage in the New Testament. If homosexuality were so evil, don't you think Jesus would have said something about it?"

Questionable authenticity to whom, Bill? Most rational folks understand that Paul spoke with the authority of Jesus Christ as one of His ordained apostles. An apostle is "one sent," in this case send by Christ Himself. If Paul spoke it, it's because he was commanded to by Christ. True, there is a place where Paul specifically states, "I say this as a concession, not as a command." Other than where he specifically stated such as this, his instruction is the Word of God. So, having established Paul's authority as an apostle sent by Christ, your further comment that "there is no mention of gays" in the New Testament is a nullity.

Andy Schmoldt

Mormons not helping the poor?

Bill Press' current column states:

"Jesus had a lot to say about helping the poor. But the Catholic and Mormon churches chose to do very little about poverty, war, torture, health care, the environment, or so many other issues on which they should be out in front. They'd rather target gays instead."

Without getting into the gay marriage issue, let me tell you just a bit about the Humanitarian Aid program of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. There are literally warehouses (yes, plural) in Salt Lake City filled with food, clothes, blankets and other critical needs. For those on the brink of starvation, normal food aid is too hard to digest and may in fact kill the recipients; the LDS Church has become the main provider of a specialized gruel that helps the starving rebuild their strength to be able to stomach regular food again.

LDS congregations all over the world participate in humanitarian aid projects on a regular basis. Additionally, individuals volunteer one to two years of their lives to go into rural areas to dig wells, teach nutrition and hygiene, provide vaccines, etc. The LDS Church has built schools in many areas. The LDS Church also has created a "perpetual education fund" whereby indigent people in foreign countries are sent to college (paid by the donations of others), with the understanding that they will "pay it forward," – once they have graduated and have an income they will also donate so that others can follow. The program is so successful it is expanding. In other words, the college graduates do not forget but gratefully pay it forward.

The LDS Church also provides micro-loans, which allow, for example, a woman in a small village to buy a sewing machine, which allows her to start a seamstress business. These loans have been a great success, not only does the woman pay back her loan, she often is able to employ others as well and the whole community is blessed. You won't hear about these efforts in the nightly news; it isn't done "to be seen of men." In an effort to make aid dollars stretch further, LDS relief is usually coordinated through other charities established in various countries, often with Catholic Relief charities that are likewise deeply involved with trying to alleviate the suffering of the poor.

Just thought you'd want to know.

Laurie Stacey

Talk about unsavory

I am writing about Bill Press' latest liberal screed, entitled, "Discrimination still lives." In it, he decries the people of California voting in favor of Proposition 8.

He uses the word "discrimination" in the title of his diatribe. The denotation of "to discriminate" is simply "to choose." However, the connotation of the word sounds as if it is unsavory.

What is definitely unsavory is the disgusting practices of homosexuals. The very acts were illegal throughout Western Civilization for centuries. The American Psychiatric Association declared it a mental disorder until 1973, when political correctness overrode medical fact.

California voters correctly decided that marriage was, indeed, to be between one man and one woman. PERIOD!
